Adopt a Preacher and His Family

We are trying to personalize our ministry. By sponsoring one of our preachers on a monthly basis, you will be able to pray for them, their wives and children, the churches where they serve and their village. You will get to know them on a personal level. When you visit India, you will have a friend to greet you. I have always said that our ministry must be more than me sending you a newsletter and you sending me a check. By supporting a preacher and his family, you will have a personal relationship with our ministry. It will not just be the name of our ministry that you know, but a real life preacher who is working every day, preaching the Gospel and dealing with life's struggles with his family as you and I do. You will meet his wife and children. You can pray for them each day and send letters of encouragement to me to be passed along to them. We are asking you to commit for at least 3 years to sponsor a preacher for $200 a month. You may not be able to sponsor for $200; maybe $100, $50 or even $25.    My name is Wesley.  I live in the state of Tamil Nadu.  I am an evangelist and the director of Mission Explosion International India.  I am in charge of church planting in the states of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.  I live in Chennai, the capital city of the state, which has a population of over seven million people.  We have plans to start a new church in this state every year.  
   Let me introduce you to my family.  My wife’s name is Beena Rai.  I have two daughters:  Shalini, who was just married in May, and Priya, who is a second year nursing student.

    Let me introduce my family to you.  My wife’s name is Pushpa.  I have two sons at home, Santhakumar and Sonthosh.  Both are in college.  My son, Solomon, is married and is preaching in another village.  My daughter, Sharon Flora, was killed almost two years ago in a motorcycle accident.
